The Turquoise Trail Cowl (Ravelry link) pattern is now live! If you don’t use Ravelry, here is the link to the Turquoise Trail Cowl at Tallgrass Knitting (my Etsy shop).
The Turquoise Trail Cowl features southwest-inspired textured cable panels that evoke both cabochons of turquoise and trails. “Cabochons” are formed with Lifted-Over Knot Stitches and the “trails” are simple 2/2 cables. If Lifted-Over Knot Stitches are new to you, I have a tutorial here that takes you through the process.
Directions for both the Long Version and Short Version are written as two separate patterns giving you two cowl patterns!
The Turquoise Trail Cowl uses the same textured cable panels as my Turquoise Trail Pullover.
The Turquoise Trail is an easy day trip along national scenic byways in New Mexico starting from either Albuquerque or Santa Fe.
